My Story is a journey with many detours, but always coming back to painting.  I paint because it is important to me to share the beauty I see in everyday things around us.  I see the beauty that exists at a moment in space and time, which will not be there again.  You could call me an Impressionist because we have a lot in common; however, I do not have a specific message – it is more like a conversation.

I was born in New York, and came to Big Pine Key by way of Connecticut, in August..  I studied art at the New York University College in New Paltz, New York for two years in the early 1970’s.  Then I worked for IBM for nineteen years and nine months.  After numerous vacations in the Keys, my husband and I moved to Big Pine Key permanently in 2000.

I remain a member of The Washington Art Association in Washington Depot, Connecticut.  I am a member of the Lower Keys Artists Network, the Key West Art Center, and the Key West Plein Air Painters.  I joined Island Art Co-op gallery in September 2003 and my work can be seen at the Key West Art Center as well as Artists in Paradise and numerous private collections in the USA and Europe.

I enjoy working with charcoal, pastel, and oil paint.  I will accept work on a commission basis, such as portraits, houses, etc.  Please contact me if you are interested.
