Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Dale Malone has been in close contact with the art world from a very young age. Her mother was a trained professional artist and often took her to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts where she took her first art class at the age of eight. In between then and her current passion for watercolors, Dale and her husband, Jack, have run a successful contracting business and raised two children. She taught ballet, dabbled in decorating and became a wedding photographer when her children were grown. Dale painted with acrylics until she discovered her real love was watercolors. The late Dave Millard, AWS, Jeanne Dobie, AWS, NWS, Irma Quigley, Connie Hauk, Joe Fettingis, Jean Grastorf and Ken Hosmer are among the artists who have taught and inspired her to paint almost every day during the winter season while residing on Big Pine Key in the winters months. Summer is spent at their cottage in Plymouth, Massachusetts where she enjoys creating artwork with her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dale’s work may be seen at the Artists in Paradise Gallery, Big Pine Key, Florida. She is a member of the Lower Florida Keys Artists Network and the Florida Keys Watercolor Society.
