Painted Key deer Statue Reveal Events and information
Local artist have stepped up to the plate by donating their time and energy to bring key deer cement statues to life! It was hard work - there are 2 base coats, then layers of design paint, then 2 UV coats - all needing to dry for days between each layer. (written by Valerie Preziosi, Save Our Key Deer)

The front lawn of St. Peter Catholic Church in Big Pine Key a family of four painted by artist Susanne Johnson. The church sponsored all four of the deer.
The BPK “triangle” grass area by the traffic light. “Reverie” painted by Susan D’Antonio is the artist who painted this very special deer sponsored by the younger sister of a fallen officer, Deputy David Cormier. The deer is named
The front lawn of the MCSO substation on Cudjoe Key. “Liberty” painted by artist Gale Upmal. The sponsors, Alyssa and Glen Mako are dedicating it to our local Law Enforcement Officers.
